rdf - that could be a good find. Website is a little light on specifics yet, how tall it is, how long a charge lasts, and the biggie, how much is it? I'll keep watching it though cuz I too believe tech can be a good thing to happen to handicap stuff, not just sci.

Hey Jerry, good to see you buddy. I think I did some Googlin yesterday and found the cost to be around $2000. Not cheap, but I read some insurances pay for it. Not sure if Medicare does though, being as new as it is

Hey, sounds interesting. It seems like it is an air filled cushion where you adjust your seating position using your phone like how you adjust your pressure distribution using the valve on a roho quadro select.

In the second last story that is under the heading "SIT LONGER" on their Instagram https://www.instagram.com/kalogon_official/ the girl seems to suggest it does weight shifts for her so she no longer has to think about doing that.

Does it automatically do weight shifts for you too or have I got that wrong?

            Thanks,
            Rob

Ah, it does say on their website that it varies pressure https://www.kalogon.com/technology, so it would seem it does do weight shifts for you too.

Two of the cushions it compares itself to are the aquila and the ease which also vary pressure, but it doesn't say why it is better than those cushions, neither of which I have used.

Would be interesting to hear from anyone who has tried it?

They do have engineers working on it from some top companies so they may well have come up with a good solution

Would be nice if they actually showed the cushion.

smity50 what do you mean, with the cover off(that would be good) because there are pics of the cushion?

Yeah it would be nice to see the actuall cushion and all it's pieces. There's a small picture next to the our technology banner but it's kinda weak.

yeah it would be even better to see a video of it varying the pressure with the cover off.

                    Press announcement.

A smart cushion that lowers pressure on different parts of the body in sequence could help wheelchair users avoid pressure injuries.

A friend has been using one for about two months. She says she absolutely loves it. No pressure relief needed at all.
