Recommendations for 24"(540) wide knobby tires

I'm looking for recommendations for a wide knobby 24"(540) tire. I'm currently running 37-540 Kenda Kross tires, but I'd like ones somewhat wider to better handle our snowy winters. I've looked at the Kenda Nevegal, but I'm not quite ready to go that aggressive.

I run Nevegals, Schwalbe Downtown, and Schwalbe one depending on seasons and conditions. Downtowns are good for most shoveled ventures, but anytime I’m going over or through snow it’s the nevegal for me. I bought a spare set of 22” wheels off eBay because the nevegals are taller tires

Would a 24"(507) bike tire fit on a 22"(501) wheelchair rim?
There seem to be very few wide knobby tires available in 540 or 501 sizes, which are common wheelchair sizes.
My wheelchair is set up for 559 Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, so I want knobby tires with a similar outside diameter so the casters aren't out of alignment.
