We stand ours up behind the drivers seat when traveling. It works good just awkward when moving it around.

Just be sure before you buy a lift it is needed to get you off the floor that it can do so. Some are specifically described as such and I would the contact the company if there is any doubt. Bed to chair lifts do not need nearly the range of height flexibility as a floor lift.

My doctor wrote a script for me to get a Molift 150 with a travel bag. I can't wait to try it out.

I use the hard case for air travel. There is a soft-shell case for other travel, but it is even more expensive then the hard case.

You ship the lift from your home to the hotel? How much does that cost? That unfortunately wouldn't work for me, as I use the Molift as my primary lift.

Will insurance cover the Molift 150? I bought mine used off of ebay.

Depends upon your insurance. Medicare does not cover lifts.

I never thought insurance would, thought they primarily paid just for the basic manual lift. Did you just need a script, a letter of justification? I have Aetna PPO.

I have workers comp so as long as I have a script from my doctor they have to get it for me. I'm going with the soft-shell case instead of the hard case.

I'm not sure if you travel by plane much, or plan to, but if so I'd recommend the hard case. The soft case I don't believe would provide protection.

What service do you use to ship? Is that $150 each way?

Yeah I have been going back and forth with this. We have only flown once and I don't know when we will fly again. That is why I'm going with the soft case. I think the soft case will make it easier for my wife to handle the lift and will be easier while traveling in the van. If we do fly in the future I will purchase a hard case.
