  • E&J shower commode chair replacement

    Does anyone know of an equivalent replacement for the E&J shower commode chair or where I can get another one? They've been discontinued and the only thing I can find are the replacement seats. I've been using this chair for over 23 years without any issues to my skin so I really don't want to try another product. I saw it for sale on Medical Mobility International's website but I'm skeptical they actually have it. I'll give them a call this week to confirm.

    This brand by Drive Medical is very similar;

      The one listed above says "not available"; I think it was the old E&J which Drive made for a while, but I don't believe they do any more.

      ActiveAid makes this one, which is similar, but had several improvements made to it based on research done at the Tampa VA SCI Center:

          I dont think a seat like that or the one by activeaid will work for me. My skinny legs would slide in the opening. Are there different seating options?

            ActiveAid has many other types of shower/commode chairs. Check out the 600 series. You probably need an hour glass waterfall seat: http://activeaid.com/products/rehab-...tg-600-series/. We have also had them do some customization, esp. for seats.

            You may also want to look at Raz Designs shower/commodes: http://www.razdesigninc.com/index.php They also have a number of different seat options for theirs.

              OK, How about this one? Made by Tuffcare. It looks very much like the E & J commode.
