Carving Up a Stimulite Contoured Cushion

Does anyone know if I can carve away parts of my Stimulite Cushion without ruining it and what's the best tool to use for a little carving? I'm needing to take a little off the left front right behind my knee for some reason it's suddenly started leaving marks. Other adjustments I've made haven't helped so carving it is next in line. .

I used a pair of scissors, then melted it a little with a knife I heated up. Because it looked melted. Try calling the company.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Black-Deck...Knife/14913105 I use an electric bread knife for cutting up foam and have used it with Stimulite cushions as well. Gets the job done. I also have a band saw in the garage that makes quick work of it, in case you or a neighbor have one. Use a metal cutting blade on the band saw though, it has more teeth per inch than the wood blades so better for more delicate work like a cushion. My two cents anyways.

I also use an electric knife to cut spongy things.

I sit on Stimulite all the time. I do wonder if any kind of heat does damage to it. I would think be careful not create a lot of heat against cushion with the knife.
