Rigidizer bar of Aero T brokes

Heard few cases recently of the failure of Tilite chair, here was the rigidizer bar broken of a 2 years old Aero T. And they asked a welder to welded it back. I wonder if Tilite chair quality has gone down?

Sorry to hear about your problem. Can I get the serial number off your chair? It appears the backrest crosstube has broken. The chair frame has a lifetime warranty however the backrest has a one year warranty. We can check the date of your purchase to see if it might fall within the one year range.

Broke at the welded part, seemed like no heat treatment?
