It was spec'd at 16, but I lowered it 1/2". I measured it this morning the way TiLite does to get the 15.5" number.

Will I only need to lower my RSH and raise my footrest (note feet practically dangling)? I don't know that I have 2" of footrest left (spec'd at 16). I won't need to lower my FSH too for a thicker cushion, correct?

I think you then need at most a 14.5" TiLite RSH. That will get your fingertips closer to your axles.

If you spec your footrest the right length, you won't 'need' to reduce your FSH, but you may want to reduce it to keep your dump the same. If you reduce your RSH and leave your FSH, your dump will increase.

BTW, I think SCI_OTR once posted that you should spec a TiLite Footrest 1/2" shorter than you think you need, then lower it to comfort on arrival.

Don't worry, I'll apply a little common sense. That's very good to know about the footrest, thanks. And you're right, I totally forgot about the increased dump without lowering FSH!

Dang, Im going to have a tiny little shortychair! It already looks like a toy when I'm not sitting in it and it's just in relation to everything else in the room. I'll have, what, 14.5 RSH and 17 FSH?! Is it just me or am I going to have height problems riding that low?

Ah, Propulsion-efficient wheelchairs for short people. Siiiiiiiigh.

(thank you, though, for your speccing advice, it's much appreciated)

I have an orange bicycle flag on my chair for visibility. The flag flies about at AB head height so store clerks and drivers see me.

You're welcome. I love to offer my opinions

When I first saw my chair I got a little panicky. It looked like a childs chair and I was afraid they screwed up the measurements.

congratulations I ran into a similar random act of kindness. We were in a furniture store buying a leather recliner love seat and were asking how long the rest of the set would be available to get later on. We bought it then 5 minutes after leaving got a call from the store saying a anonymous customer over heard us talking and paid our whole bill for us. We never found out who it was but gave the store a thank you card that they forwarded to him.

The same way you'd expect if you're dealing with a DME: waiting. It's coming along, though.
