  • Setting up an excelerator for transport

    Hi

I mainly use my bike for getting from a to b with wheelchair on the towbar

Are the footrest mirrors worth the money when handcycling on country roads?
Would using a an upright pedal(on my dieplegic side) be of use?
Are the tri pin quad pedals worth the money compared to the active hands gripping aids(hemiplegic side)?

    Value any suggests

I can speak for the footrest mirrors being absolutely necessary...
ask c level injuries for suggestions about the other two...

the footrest mirror works great on lower bikes. won't be much good on the excelerator, being an upright bike. Also the one through top end is meant to be clamped on the footrest tube, which the excelerator just has the flat footplates. It might be able to be clamped elsewhere on the bike. sitting upright on a bike like that doesn't give much options of where to put a mirror where it can be easy to view.
