  • anybody with a TiLite? Need Measurements...

    Hey there,
Anyone with a TiLite or specifically a TiLite ZRA2?

please take these measurements for me.

take the measurements I've jotted there. From the bottom of the foot plate to the floor and the seat to the floor.

#2) What is the typical diameter of the wheels?

#3) whats the width at the axles?

On ultralight wheelchairs you specify those measurements, so everyone that answers is going to have a different one. For seat to the floor, you have both rear seat height and front seat height, and the difference between them is called the "dump" or squeeze.

On most chairs the footplate height is adjustable so you can dial in just the right height once you're using the chair.

You can choose whatever wheels you want. Typical are usually 24, but smaller such as 20 are available for kids and you can get 25 or 26 if you're tall or have long arms. You specify the wheel size when you order the chair.

I believe my seat is 18"x18", the same as my older EVO. I believe I have a 18" (or shorter) back because the higher backs were in the way of pushing and began to hurt when it got time to change chairs.

That's a different measurement (than asked for). 18x18 seat refers to width and depth, the first number being width.

What the hell, I am bored. I have a ZRA Series 2 (ultralight).

              FSH 19.5
              24 inch wheels
My seat is 16 inches wide, plus an inch on the axel, plus 6 degrees of camber with handrims I can get in a 26 inch door (barely)
I have 2.5 inches of clearance between the floor and my footplate

Anything else you want to know

#1 Seat to floor height will depend on your leg length, hangar angle, and footplate height. Footplate height, conversely, will depend on leg length, hangar angle, and seat to floor height, but 2" is usually the minimum recommended.

#2 Wheel diameter depends on your torso and arm length, and seat to floor height. 24" is most common, with 22", 25" and 26" as alternatives.

#3 Width at the axles (and width at the floor is a better measurement, as it will be larger than the width at the axles if you have camber) depends on seat width, camber, and axle spacing.

These are custom chairs. There's no one right answer.
