    Thoracic support

My son needs a thoracic support (for his chair), as he is not able to sit up completely straight. Whilst you can get supports that are fully fixed, and ones that swing outwards by 90degrees, is anyone aware of supports that can rotate 180 degrees outwards, so that they can be moved completely out of the way if/when necessary?

Failing that, what about a support that can be made to rotate downwards (and out of the way) when required?

We are keen to allow him complete freedom of movement (to pick things off the floor etc), whilst giving him the support he needs most of the time. We're not keen on the 90 degree swingaways, as they will impact his wheeling when rotated, as well as the issue of them being broken by doorways etc.

    Thanks for any help,
Gordon, father of son who became t6 paraplegic at the age of 4 in 2007 as a result of surgery to remove a spinal tumour.
