Surelock has this new disk mounting design for the Round Betty Dino's. It mounts directly to the hub opposed to the spokes. This will decrees the spoke flex when the system is locked. It is also lighter than the previous version.

Surelock doesn't offer any color anodizing, but wouldn't it be nice? Hint, hint.

It's possible for them to flex less? Awesome...

unless there are flat spots milled into that hub i dont see how those grub screws will be enough to keep the disc from rotating under load.

The mounting screws in the disc don't actually attach to the hub proper, they insert into the hollow openings of each spoke, which thread through the hub.

This is a departure from the "traditional" 2-piece disc design, which clamps onto both sides of the hub and wraps around each spoke. The one-sided one-piece Surelock Dino disc makes direct contact. A similar design from Surelock, I'm told, is in the offing for the Spinergy LX.

The screws fit into the spoke openings.

Is it as true statement that this setup would be lighter than a set of spinergy lx's with standard surelock hub mounting? If so, by what margin?
