Future wheelchair - folding wheels

A young british designer has come up with a prototype for a new folding wheelchair in which the wheels also fold:

There have been a number of folding wheel concepts over the years, but none has ever made it to production.

Neat idea. Wonder if it requires the use of specific tires? Couldn't imagine 145psi clincher beads staying put...

The problem is always going to the rim, to keep it 110% round. Imagine the damage it would do to you're hands if wizzing down hill and the joints were just one tenth of a mm out, it would be like putting your hand in bacon slicer.
