    Xtender batteries

    Hi all,

I've had my Xtender wheels for a few years now, and the batteries have started losing their charge very quickly.

I was talking to somebody who suggested contacting a battery company to see if they could reset the charge or memory. Has anyone tried doing this?

If that doesn't work, do you know the cheapest place to buy new batteries? The company I originally bought them from charges $1300 CDN. I'm hoping there are cheaper places to get them!

    Thanks
    ~Ashley~

Pash - Don't know about Canada, but in the US it seems that Yamaha has a lock on Xtender batteries - one can't get aftermarkets anywhere.

Do you have only a single battery pack, or a spare also? If you're handy, or know someone who is, it should be possible to rebuild a spare xtender pack for *much* less than the replacement cost. I've opened one up, but never got around to ordering the parts. (devout member of the Church of Laziness) If you want, I can go look for the info I 'd collected regarding the project. - fw
