I just received my Permobil C500 stander yesterday, everything is great except for one issue. When the chair was delivered and the chair was in standing mode the front casters were not touching the ground. The chair felt like it was going to tip over. Trying frantically to figure out the situation, my vendor called the regional Permobil representative only to get her voicemail. After leaving a messege on her voicemail, my vendor called Permobil and told a technician of the issue. The techncian told my vendor to press a certain combination of buttons to limit the standing angle of the chair. This new standing angle does not allow the chair go into a full vertical standing position. The chair came with documentation entitled "IMPORTANT!!! Please Preform All Steps in this Document when Delivering the VS Standing Seat"My question is, should I try to reset the standing angle using these instructions (would this void the warranty?), or should I wait and let my vendor and/or Permobil regional rep reset the angle?

Congratulations. You are one of only a few in this country to actually have taken delivery of a Permobil C500 VS. From what I understand, it is a considerable improvement over the previous C500 Stander. I haven't even had a chance to see a demo yet, so I can't provide any useful advice. I'm wondering, however, if you don't already know the answer to the question that you pose.
In any event, good luck with it and keep us posted on how it works for you.

Well my vendor and the Permobil rep. just left and know I am standing at a full (at a “tick tack” position). As you go from a sitting to sanding position, the back of the chair tilts back, as if going into a laying position, but I was told by the rep that there is a software upgrade the will eliminate the chair’s back to recline. Once that software is put through the ICS I will be completely in love with this chair.Yours truly,
