    Infloor ramp in Maine

I have found a van that has everything I need and want. The hardest thing was finding one with a tow hitch. I was told by multiple dealers that once a conversion is done it is near impossible to put a tow hitch in. No need to get into whether this is true or not.

Anyway, I found one with a tow hitch and everything else I need to safely drive. Only ONE MAJOR problem. It has a Braunability IN-FLOOR XI ramp.

I’ve been told in floor ramp are terrible in cold, icy, snowy, salty environments.

Is there anything I can do to ensure my soon-to-be (haven’t bought it yet) ramp stays functional?

    thanks,
    Essie

Not clear if you are going to be using the Van in Maine or if that’s where it’s located. I lived in Vermont for many years pre SCI and the set up your discussing could be a pain in winter (imo).

OR ,are you considering purchasing a van located in Maine? If it’s located there with low miles it could be a good deal.

Have it undercoated/sealed. That would be the only thing I could think of to attempt to keep water out of the lower cavity.
A low watt (80) 110v heater down there would be nice in cold times. Like a camper, plug inlet in side of van.
