    Bon courage,

    Alain Privat M.D. Ph.D.

Hello, I contacted the company Neureva "and I asked if the purpose of their research was
initialize many clinical trials in the near future.

    Answer Alain Privat promising

    Dear Sir,

Your message has communicated to me by my collaborators
Neuréva. Our goal is to develop strategies
therapies for spinal cord injuries. We have over
twenty years explored a variety of approaches on models
experimental animals that both cellular. Today, we are
able to translate these experimental strategies
therapeutic, with the implementation within two years from
several clinical trials, which is intended partly to encourage the regrowth
injured nerve fibers as a result of trauma, on the other hand to
activate intrinsic stem cells to control centers
spinal cord responsible for locomotion and the urogenital sphere.
I invite you to follow the progress of our work on the site of the
IRME, who reports regularly on the progress of research on
spinal cord injuries and their consequences.

    Bon courage,

    Alain Privat M. D. Ph. D.
    Professor and head
    Spinal Cord Team

I have been going through all the papers scientific and non-scientific, but come up with nothing has been published. Any info on links would be appreciated.

            Thanks,
I have not but will inquire.

Darren, the trial Geron is planning is for acute SCI. Take a look to the NASCINet thread which talks about chronics.

Talking with the Geron folks I can't find anybody that has heard of this.

I would try and contact Tania Cusack, Oz Stewart or Hans Keirstad at the Reeve / Irvine SCI research center in CA for clinical trial info.

                    Good luck.

According to this article headed "Paralyzed Rats Walk; Humans Next?" from Kristen Philipkoski they should have been in human clinical trials yet (with start date of 2006).

Smith and his son visited Keirstead and other scientists at the University of California at Irvine in March, and were encouraged to learn that researchers have already begun additional animal studies, and that they anticipate beginning human clinical trials as soon as 2006.
