This is all very exciting news and certainly a huge step forward. I would encourage you to watch the round table discussion from February and to read the ONWARD report.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

What bothers me about some news like that, is the lack of actual footage of the recovered movement, 99% of the video is talking. If, for example, one of those men can now grasp a bottle, please, show me the guy moving the f.... hand (open, close, open, close, ...)

I was in rehab with that guy Alan T. Brown in Miami in the video. I can confirm he couldn't move any fingers as far as I remember 30 some years ago.

Not to be negative but after SCI there is an expectation/ hope that functions of 1-2 levels above the initial AIS level or partial will return after injury. CWO

That's for sub-actute. The Onward stimulation is for chronic.

Some levels after years injured is not a small achievement. And on top of that, without surgery or complex big-ass expensive equipment. Maybe this will end in nothing, but atm is our best shot.
