    PLAIN MRI CERVICAL SPINNE

    CLINICAL DATA
     Trametic injury of cervical spine with quadripledia
     Frature cv6 cerical spine

    EXAMINATION TECHNIQUE
     Multi planar imaging done through cervical spine acquiring t1/t2 weighted segittal and axial sequences. MR myelography was also done.

    FINDINGS
     Fracture and fragmentation of body and posterior element of cv5 is noted resulting in angulation and khyphotic deformity. Marked thining of spinalcord is seen with some possibility of transaction. Abnormal signal intensity area is seen at this level of spinal cord, which appear hypointense of T1 and hyperintense on T2WS[focal myelomalecia/cord edema]. Adjacent intervertebral discs show irregularity due to collapsed contigous endplates.
     Ligamenta flava and extra dural fat appears normal in thickness.
     No definite para vertebral mass seen.
     No definite pre vertebral enlarged lymph nodes are seen.

    CONLUSION
     Burst fracture of cv5 with possibility of cord transaction.
     Abnormal signal area in spinal cord[?focal myelomalecia/cord odema]
