    I'm glad Vertex picked it up and is moving forward now into a Phase 2b-3 for acute injury. A good trial for sure! It's for acute injury within 72 hours for those scheduled for decompression and stabilization of the spine. It will be running until June 2018. Estimated enrollment is 150 with some getting placebo. VX-210 is thought to act by promoting axon growth and helping neurons create new adaptive circuitry to overcome deficits caused by lost axonal connections after injury. VX-210 was licensed to Vertex to complete clinical development. I would hope they could add additional trial sites.

            Apparently on chronics nothing ever works either. Or if something works, it magically disappears and we stop hearing about it and slowly forget about it as well.
            Not implying anything, but something looks fishy and makes one wonder

              i meant in the sense that acute trials are always discontinued or abandoned due to lack of efficacy... Chronic trials might take longer but I don't see "many" of them getting abandoned due to lack of efficacy exactly....
