When does the Big Idea start recruiting for their trial?

And is there somewhere you can try to apply for it?
Its only at the brink of our own destruction that we learn to change.

Surprised to see the Leona Helmsley Foundation supporting this! Remember how hated she was? Well good for her!

Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

one of the requirements is "no current anti-spasticity medication regimen;"

how is that even possible? Who doesn't take meds for spasms?
I was injured 2 weeks after my 16th birthday on June 14th, 2004. My level of injury is C5 complete, but I can move my wrist.

My screen name comes from the movie The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

It would be counter productive and make no sense to trial a device that's attempting to electrically excite nerves if the patient is taking drugs or medications to deaden them.

I took baclofen for a decade. Decided one summer to taper off and quit it just to see. Spasms were way up during withdrawal but after a few weeks of being completely off it, my spasms were only a little worse than while taking the maximum dose of baclofen. Haven't taken any since.

I never took the "full" dose which was 3 tablets a day. I only ever took 1 before bed. Did that for about a year, year and a half. Havent taken any at all for about 2 1/2 3 years now. The worst of my spasms are my feet bouncing around when my wheels hit a bump and my legs lock out when i transfer into my car.

I'm about a year and a half out (C6 incomplete) and I don't take meds for that.
I know it sounds strange but i kind of like them and think they are good for circulation.
