Man's raapid recovery could be medical breakthrough.

Don't know anything else about it other than what's in the video. It doesn't have much description of what he went through.
    Anyone know anything more?

Exactly, lucky bastard. Good for him though, the things he'll never have to go through, and "motivational" bullshit he'll never have to hear or listen to. I was injured halfway through 2012, and there is a huge difference in what's going on in the world. Even the horrible "this is it, make the best of it" attitude in rehabs has changed.

Thanks Grammy. Do you know if there has been any information released regarding the Asubio trial? I'm guessing the gentleman in the video was a participant.

No, I imagine they're putting together the final data now that the trial has ended. I believe the completion date was estimated at Nov 2014, so they're probably gathering up everything they need since there were 60 some trial sites and 164 patients involved. I also am only "guessing" Russ was a participant and would imagine he wasn't one that got placebo in the trial either. I'm hoping it doesn't take them too long to put the data together, publish and get a Phase 3 launched ASAP. I'm thrilled to death that this young man has had this kind of recovery. Nobody should have to suffer the ravages of paralysis for a lifetime. I'm sure hoping he's escaped and this plays out positive for him.

Right, this wasn't listed a chronic trial.

It sucks that it wont help the ones already injured. Happy that people not yet hurt wont have to suffer like the rest of us.

Can't we get our cord cut and that way be 'acute'? I'm pretty sure ASIA A injuries that don't have much function to save would't think about it? I'm a ASIA C but most of what I got isn't very useful (not that I don't appreciate it) but woouldn't mind risking it for what this guy has recovered. What is the science behind it? Can we get cut up to point where it seems like a fresh injury?
