Just returned home from Dr. Lima's procedure!!!!!

I am the third patient out of the USA to recieve his procedure!! It has been 12 days since the day of surgery and I recovered some sensation within the first couple of days. There was no compression of the cord in my case so it is hard to say why any sensation has returned so soon, even Dr. Lima was confused and "must go think" he is truly one of the most majestic people to walk this earth. I am home as of July 2nd and feel very hopeful for the future.

      SuperStar,

Thanks for the update and welcome home. Please keep us informed of your progress, as we all want to hear of how your recovery progresses.

Also as Ostria points out, background would be helpful as to your status prior to surgery.

DA - You have the right and ability to go to Dr. Lima and get the procedure done on yourself. Put your money where your mouth is.

unlike you ip, i dont just think of myself. i want a cure for everyone. long after i am cured, i will be still pushing for a cure in 3rd world countries.

That's not true. I'm not only thinking of myself.

If you really believed in the OEG therapy, the quickest way to get it for your "third world denizens" is to get it done on yourself, begin walking, and then blow the horn widely.

I'm just pointing out that you're sitting on the sidelines and promoting a therapy which you don't believe to be a cure (yet.) Although you're happy to see others become your guinea pig.

your comment is extremely selfish and you want me to be equally selfish.

please copy and paste where i said oeg will make anyone walk. if not, shut up.

nobody need you to point out anything. you must thing everyone is stupid.

Although you're happy to see others become your guinea pig.

if i could get many neurosurgeons i have met off their ass, i would be the guinea pig too.

My level was T-7/8, 100% complete, my spinal cord was almost severed Dr. Vital has told me... I have a standing wheelchair and do my own PT. Considering my options for the future at this point regarding more intense PT.

Superstar, thanks for sharing this news with us. If you don't mind, where have you recovered sensation? I assume you also had surgery to remove cells from your olfactory gland, can you describe that procedure in terms of pain and scent recovery? Did Dr. Lima give you a prognosis, how much are you expected to recover based on your level of injury?

                            Thanks again.
