So is this a different device/study than what the University of Louisville/Frazier Rehab Center has been working with?

Yes. The transcutaneous prototype is different.

It's not for complete injuries, correct? And it states it's a phase 0??

          From the site:

          Exclusion Criteria:
          • Pregnancy
          • No functional segmental reflexes below the lesion

Does no functional segmental reflexes below the lesion mean incomplete?

It's my understanding from the TV interviews done with the CEO of NeuroRecovery Technologies Inc, they wanted to get the transcutaneous prototypes for mild to moderate injuries into clinical trial first before the improved subcutanceous model for severe injuries. I have both of the transcutaneous trials linked here that are on the clinical trial.gov site.

The TV interviews and NeuroRecovery Technologies Inc. update was posted here.

Here's presentations done at a Swiss Neuromodulation Conference by both Gregorie Courtine (animal work) and Susan Harkema (human work) with electrical stimulation research.

                    This is all very exciting.

Also, I would like to wake up every morning next to someone with Gregoire's accent. That is all. lol

May I inform you about a place in Canada called Quebec?

When they say return of sexual function, do they mean just the ability to retain an erection? The ability to have sensation and reach an orgasm?

Looking back on my question, I realize it's pretty stupid. Because it's such a taboo, what researcher is going to document those kind of results. How unfortunate.

James, I Sincerely hope that you were being sarcastic, I mean that is a real problem. Your question wasn't stupid at all. But I know what you are saying about it being kind of taboo. Sexual function IS important and we actually do ourselves a disservice if we act like it isnt important .
