  • Panama Stem Cell Institute "Cell Medicine" Case Report

This is a research paper written by Rebecca Johnston, Daniel Leonard’s sister. She recently graduated from a Physical Therapy degree program, and wrote her Capstone paper about Daniel’s stem cell therapy treatment in Panama.
Daniel is presented anonymously in the paper, but Rebecca and Daniel have given their permission for this paper to be shared. Daniel’s ASIA scores (pre and post treatment) are in the appendix of this paper.

What do you guys think about this?

I think that the Stem Cell Institute should at least do a report like the one of Rebecca for every patient, but they haven't yet, why?

I have asked them here for more data, but no answer yet:

Other threads about Stem Cell Institute:

    /forum/showthread.php?t=203930

Anyway I am very happy that Daniel seem to have recovered some functions and I want to thank him and Rebecca for providing the info about his recovery.

MT (promoted by Mel Gibson on podcasts)

There is a claim that the Miami project is working on acute patients using this technology. I'm probably late to the game - there's so many different branches of research to follow.

Are you talking about that podcast with him and joe rogan and neil riordan... Highly skeptical of that panama stemcell center, almost to the point of disliking them like just "smh" when someone is all excited to go there or promotes it but I would actually like to be wrong in my current opinion. I usually just don't say anything

precisely. It does not sound legitimate. However, I don't know because I've done zero research.

He was reddit'd hard. My fave comment is: "Sounds like he needs to be peer reviewed in the face!" lol

Google is your friend. I wouldn't consider placing Mel Gibson on a scientific review team with no qualifications or education.

a comment that I thought was funny in the comment section regardless of your view on this

"Stems cells are very promising, but I don't trust a doctor in a motorcycle jacket"

Another thing that hit me is that they said that they didn't do a pre-op and post-op mri on his hip to positively confirm the results of his hip procedure and his symptoms didn't permanently go away to me suggesting a temporary placebo affect, that is speculation on my part

LOL .. important to note that Mel Gibson was against stem cells in general ... with his very firm Catholocism ... even lobbied against them before Bush really knew what they were.

Just so we’re clear... Everyone thinks this is a load of shit even though this guy is showing positive results? Asking for a friend.

                            Huge placebo effect.

Anything that promises to treat SOOOO many things is suspect.

                              This is pricey treatment

Spurred on by a recent infomercial by Cellmedicine's Dr. Neil Riordan and Mel Gibson on Joe Rogan's Podcast

                              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtL1fEEtLaA

I proceeded to ask for a new quote for SCI treatment and compared against a quote 1.5 years ago (quotes are valid for 90 days).

                              Today: US$37,200
                              Jun-2016 US$32,720

I'll add that requesting to honor the old price or trying to renegotiate any discount receives no reply. Non-negotiable?
