I'm following your live blog with great interest over here in the UK...Unite really have caught my interest and am loving their approach and attitude towards Cure. I hope to be there next year! One question I have, and it would be great if it can be asked..does the organisation have any plans to work with other pro cure SCI groups worldwide particularly the United Kingdom?

Actually we do have strong ties with people from other countries. Next year's meeting is in September in Boston, MA . . . and last night I heard London named as a possible site for a 2014 conference. There are a couple of people here from London right now.

It would be great to hear more about whom Unite are involved with in the UK...we most definitely need a similar organisation over here I feel as advocacy and awareness needs to arise amongst the British and it would be bloody awesome to see Unite here in 2014! It has my vote

I'm surprised that after a full year, perhaps up to a year and a half later, of it being known that pten + socs3 produces synergistic results in optic nerve regeneration that RIRC has not tested it yet in spinal cord injured rodents. I understand in the blog it says they have just begun growing the rodents for this experiment, but that seems like a long time to me to set up an experiment. I'm not a scientist though.

I'm also angered that in a year or so of knowing how to use vectors to delete pten after injury that they have not tried it in a chronic contusion model.
