  • problem with bluetooth

For starters, I'm running Win XP Pro SP2.

I used to have everything set up so that my phone and computer could communicate via bluetooth - paired them once - phone showed up in "My Bluetooth Places" and the computer showed up in my list of Bluetooth devices on my phone (when in range of course).

Something happened with my ISP a while back and they had to come out to replace my cable modem and in the process jacked with a bunch of my network settings.

Since then, my phone will see the computer and ask me to pair, but I never get any notification on the computer that another device is trying to pair with it. As a result, the phone returns a message saying that the pairing failed. I can no longer see my phone in My Bluetooth Places either.

From the command prompt, ipconfig returns"

    Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network:

    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
I'm not really sure where to even begin troubleshooting. Any suggestions?
