I am very frustrated with my current password storage software. Is anyone else here aggravated with their password storage software? I hate my Macintosh software called "Keeper" and most likely migrating to 1password. Thoughts?

I’ve used Keychain on my iMac since 2013. I have 3 Apple devices synched to it ( 2 iPads and an iPhone)
That system has worked well for me.
.
I use one time passwords (OTP) for any financial sites, banking , Amazon Prime, etc.
The iMac is backed up on Time Machine but in the past few months I’ve started using an alphabetized password book with the goal of getting my passwords stored in there as a backup. Partially for convenience but also because I’m at an age and stage where I want things to be as trouble free as possible for family and my one adult son who would be my sole heir if something happens to me.

1Password is also a data mining app. The company uses it to save a bunch of your phone and personal data.
I prefer Password Wallet. Stand alone app, zero data collection, no “in-app” purchases, or “app as service fees”. You buy it, you own it, it’s local to your devices, doesn’t communicate with anything you don’t want it to (it can sync with OS password systems if you want), and the company doesn’t keep any data on the people who download it. And it’s inexpensive."I have great faith in fools; ‘self-confidence’, my friends call it." - Edgar Allen Poe

I suspect no one is completely clean re: mining marketing data, but they all have an incentive to ultimately protect important data like passwords. I used to use LastPass and switched to 1Password last year. Both seem pretty good… I would say LastPass had a slightly better integration on my Mac and phones, but they had some security issues and it felt like it was time to leave. 1Password was a little cheaper, too. Either way, using a password manager makes life a heck of a lot easier.C5/6 complete (maybe) circa June 2018
