Recovering and locking toolbars with Dragon

Dragon interpreted something I said as a request to hide my toolbars. My screen just changed, and I could not get it back. Does anyone know how I can get them back, to stay? I have tried right and left clicking at the very top of the screen, and I get back the toolbar menu, but it doesn?t have the ?lock toolbar? option on it. If I am in Internet Explorer and say ?go to the address bar? things pop up, but then disappear. I?ve tried ?press the alt? key ? no dice.

Bear in mind that I?m not sure that I?m using the right terminology, have properly identified the issue. All the stuff that used to be at the top is gone. And I no longer remember if I used to see more in MS Word, or if it is only in Internet Explorer.

ETA: And if anyone can tell me what I can do between writing in MS Word and posting here to preserve my punctuation, I really would appreciate it. Should I just reformat my Word file somehow?

What happens when you press the Windows button?

Try using Notepad instead of MS Word.

thanks. When I say, press the Windows “button” nothing happens. When I say press the Windows (key” the start menu pops up. I have Windows 10 but I think I’m working in office 2003 still.

It’s not practical for me to use a program other than word, but I will search the more, remember there was formatting information that would let me clarify my question.

When you go to paste, are you given the option to "Paste as plain text"?
