Will someone help me with a tech question?

I want to use the public library WiFi to upload files too large to upload from home because because my home connection is slow. I am afraid to take my primary home computer (Mac laptop) to the library.

Is there another device I could put my files on and bring to the library to upload on their WiFi? I could get an old iPhone or an old affordable Mac laptop. I just need a way to carry the files and connect so I can send them.

    Can someone advise me?

    Thank you

Just about all libraries have a computer section for public us. You can probably take your files on a usb drive and plug it into one of their computers to upload. Just give the library a call to check out their computer services.

That is a great idea. I never would have thought of that. That would make it very simple. Thank you.

Just got off the phone with my local library branch and they have a laptop loaner program. You can borrow them for 2 hours and use them only in the library and they say you need a USB for files. So that would solve my problem. As soon as I can I will have to go in and try it out. Thanks SCI for the help :-)

Since usb drives have lowered in price and increased in capacity they are really great for storing and transferring data on.

Yeah, it's crazy how much the price has come down. I have a couple but I'm thinking my 8Gb will be enough.
