    service pak for Windows 7

I am using a laptop with Windows 7. Also using firefox on it. I cannot load and configure the windows service pak on it. I have closed the AVG security firewall when loading at a 10 min increment at a time but, have still been unable to get it onto the computer. Any suggestions out there? I've tried countless numbers of times over the past few months. Wondering if I really need it?

Thanks to flatiron, I finally had to contact microsoft regarding my inability to load the service pak for my windows 7. The fellow from India was polite but, I had a hard time understanding him. We did much better in a chat window he set up for us to communicate. He got right into the problems after I explained to him what the problem was. Would you believe that it took the good part of 3 days to finally get it resolved and, was able only to do this by having to reload the windows 7 program. The problem, (according the Gaurav, the microsoft guy) was corrupted files in the windows 7 I was running. He stated that this was common because of other programs that had been loaded in the past that had conflicts with the W-7 program. Then, there was the question as to whether or not I was going to be charged for all his work. I explained to him that I really hadn't had a problem and, that I was only doing what was recommended by microsoft. We eventually came to an agreement on that and, there was no charge to me. Now, I am back up and running as before. With an updated windows 7 . Just wanted to up date this post.

I'm still amaze how much microsoft makes by support tickets for their buggy program
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
