Private Caregivers Forum Established

The new Caregivers forum has been established. This is a forum that only members of the Caregiver user group can see and participate in.

Members that would like to join the Caregivers group should go to their User CP on the main menu, go to Group Memberships under Miscellaneous on the left hand menus, and click the button <Join Group> for Caregiver, to request to join.

Requests to join must be approved by the group leaders Kate and Obieone. Membership in the caregiver group is at their discretion and generally limited to caregivers.

You mean an advertisement (ad) for a caregiver?

I was referring to the private forum that only caregivers who are members of the caregiver forum can see and post in. This private caregivers forum allows people post information to each other that would not be open to public view.

If you want to advertise for a caregiver, you can do so in this forum (Caregiving) or in the Personals forum . Please note that this forum is for caregivers, mostly family and spouses, as opposed to hired caregivers but there are few of those.

.......... that's it in a nutshell Darrel ..... also because its a "members only /caregivers only" user group forum all those personal details won't be floating around in cyber space either providing additional privacy .... I didn't have a clear understanding about how message boards worked until we did this. Its good to be reminded now and then that things posted on a "public" message board become ..... well ..... public! My life with Bill is pretty much an open book but if there was something I felt was simply too private to share "publicly" the Caregivers only forum would be where I would go. The down side of that (for me anyhoo ) is that then the discussion becomes limited to carers only and I actually enjoy and desire the input from everyone as a rule ..... I think we learn alot from each other inadvertently that way ..... but its not for everyone and gives you a choice either way!!

Private family caregiver

How can I post to the private family caregiver? I have only been a caregiver for a year now and find that I don't understand what I need to watch out for when taking care of my 22 yr old daughter. The only person I can ask about these things are her doctor which isn't a very good solution. Especially when it involves giving my daughter more medication than she is already taking.
