Does anyone know of a emergency caregiver service for a c4/5 quadriplegic? I'm in the Phoenix area. I might be needing a caregiver, live in, for one or two months. But I won't know it unless the situation actually happens.
Things are set up pretty good here, so I could probably talk most people through it. I could probably do with a caregiver going a few hours in the morning, a few hours in the afternoon, a few hours at night. I don't need someone all night, I do have a few others living here, but they are having their own medical issues and won't be able to be much help. But they could help in an emergency if something went wrong. To do minor things if I need help at night, like needing moved around, Etc. They're just going through their own surgeries and don't have much strength. All around bad timing for everything.
Would Medicare cover something like this do you think? I have home Health covered in my insurance, but it's mostly only for when a doctor signs you up for medical stuff you're going through, not custodial care.
