    ALS Web sites

ALS (aka Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - Lou Gehrig's diease) is a spinal cord disorder.

If you are a caregiver of an individual with this diagnosis, I would like to post the website for the ALS Association: http://www.alsa.org/ On the left upper side of the website are resources for caregivers. The website should also lead you to find a chapter in your area.

In my practice I work with individuals and families coping with this incurable disease. It is overwhelming and getting support is important. It is all about reaching out.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
