    tilt tables for high-level quads

How essential is it for high-level quads to use a tilt table?

A tilt table is primary important for getting you ready to stand. Standing is much more important, as it helps to prevent contractures, reduces spasticity, and can have bowel and bladder advantages, as well as clear psychologic advantages. If you have never stood since your injury or have not stood for a long time, and have clearance from your physician, then a tilt table can be used to get your body gradually used to the upright postion (esp. related to your blood pressure) and then progess to standing.
