This is just a note to check your toenails. I just found out that one of my toenails had curled around and grown into my toe. It could have caused all kinds of problems had I not caught it. It would have hurt a lot had I had sensation.

AMEN to that one. Those toe nails can lead to open areas, dysreflexia and infection.

Medicare doesn't pay for routine nail cutting, but for persons in our situation (insensate, no dexterity, AD, etc) the podiatrist can perform these regular services and I have never had a problem for the last 15+ years.Comment
