    Typical syrinx symptoms

What would typical symptoms be for a syrinx located around c6-c7 be?

    #2
Syrinx formation is not typically a rapid process. Sympotmatic progression is typically slow. In the absence of Chiari Malformation, Syringomyelia is closely associated with SCI, Spinal tumors/scarring, and inflammatory myelopathy or inflammation of the meninges.

    From Mayo Clinic

If you think you have Syringomyelia, see a spinal cord specialist. I wouldnt recommend "diagnosis by internet". Many spinal disorders have similar symptomatic presentations, sometimes making proper diagnosis difficult. MRI likely needs to be done.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
