    Mitrofanoff and Erections...

Has anyone (Guys obviously) had a Mitrofanoff, then noticed your erections have stop? I don't know if it was the cathing that kept the erections or what, but since my Mitrofanoff, natural erections are 99% gone and even drug-enduced erections are down on quality. Is it my Mitrofanoff or just me getting older?
Stupidity ain't illegal, but it sure is inconvenient.

Well, I guess it's just the combination punch of old age/SCI.

      Mike,

Have you changed your (bladder anti-spasticity) medications since the Mitrofanoff?

      Wise.

No, everything is exactly the same. The only thing that has changed is cathing thru the stoma vs the penis. My theory is the lack of stimulation from the handling and catheter going in and out is the culprit. Does this sound like a legit reason?

Makes you wonder if they hit some nerves or something when they did the mitro? But ya, getting older does not help out either. How long ago did you have the mitro done? If it was recent some of the nerves if thats what it is and they are damaged may reconnect again later. But I would honestly say if you are over 50 it's the age thing mostly, things really do start going away after age especially with reflex erections.

            Curt,
I wanna say it was 2009. The lost of erections kinda happened over time since the surgery. I'm only 42, but maybe "he" doesn't know our age.
