How many years have you used Vetericyn?

I am interested in using Vetericyn, but it's a difficult decision for me. Introducing anything into my bladder is scary. I always think a chemical could cause cancer of the bladder.

I would like to know how may years people have used this safely.

    Thank you!

Susanne Lewis, aka Leila began her thread, Microcyn Bladder Treatment (An Open Letter to Dr. Young) on 4-3-2010. I think many of us started using Vetericyn because of this thread, 2 years ago. I am not quite clear on when Susanne's husband started using Vetericyn, but it was it seems it was a few months before her original post here.

These are the threads/information about Vetericyn that I usually recommend:

There are some ventilator dependent people on this forum that use Vetericyn in their ventilator set up.

I've used it for about 5 years.

I've been using nebulized VVF to treat chronic lung infections for 18 months. I've also instilled it intermittently into my bladder and to treat wounds for about as long.

We went to our local Tractor Supply and got a large bottle for $30.

                    Thanks everyone.

I'd be more afraid of chronic inflammation in the bladder than Vetericyn. I've been infection free for nearly two years.

I've been using it for about one and half years.I use it daily to prevent bladder and skin infections.

                        Can't imagine being without it....

Great stuff. I haven't been using it for more than 2 months–but I've already seen many positive benefits. I haven't flushed it into my bladder–just using it as a cleanser and spray for wounds, feet fungus, and anything that looks like it needs super oxygenated water. Many thanks to everyone here for the recommendation.

Does anyone know if there will be a human product available anytime soon? Does anyone hold the patent?

Oculus Innovative Sciences is the company who developed the product. They already have a human use product called Puracyn, but it isn't as strong as the Vetericyn VF.
