    My Son Chad

We lost our fight on Saturday March 12. My Son is walking with the angels now. This forum helped me so much, I just wanted to thank everyone. We have some things we want to donate, a lift and a hospital bed. I am south of Houston. Many donations were made to the Diana and Christopher Reeves Foundation. He touched so many peoples lives, there were over 300 people at his service. There will be a tribute video on chadlappsrecovery on face book this afternoon.

My heart goes out to you.
There are so many changes that we experience in life, some are joyful and glad, but some are terrible and oppressive. It is important to keep the former shining through the latter. Try to keep the happy times alive in your thoughts. But that is so, so hard to do.
All my best wishes for your consolation

I am so sorry. Our prayers are with you and your family.

For donations of equipment, I often recommend contacting your local SCI rehabilitation center. Offer the equipment for issuance ONLY to people who are going through rehab and have no insurance coverage (or insufficient coverage) for the type of equipment you are donating. Contact the social work office at the center to arrange this.

You can also post items on our Equipment exchange forum, and if you want to sell anything, there and eBay are good options.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

I'm so sorry for your grief and loss. Words cannot truly express what to tell a parent who has lost a child. Peace be with you.
