Wise/SCI Nurse - HELP please!

I have had a recent sudden onset of neuropathic pain in both legs. I want to use the FES bike, but I'm concerned about receiving electrical stimulation while my legs are in extreme sensory overload now. They feel like they are on fire or being electrically shocked or stabbed. I don't know if it will reduce or increase the pain, I hear it will help the spasticity that started 2 years ago after 38 years of paralysis.

I cant handle anything like that since my neuro pain began. may as well set my stuff on fire.
try it is all you can do, it may be too painful or it may be ok.

id be a good candidate for the walkaid thingy if I could stand the shock, but it makes my neuro pain very pissed.

I have to kind of agree with Jody. It's like being between a rock and a hard place. The exercise is good, but I've found that it does tend to stir up my neuro pain. Even though it does, my neurosurgeon still wants me to get as much exercise as I can stand. Have you asked your doctor how he feels about it?
