where to buy a leg bag?

Hi all. At my job I have to wear a lot of clothes so I think if I got a leg bag it would be helpful. I would want one that of course would not leak or smell or be noticeable under my clothes. Does anyone know of a good brand / bag and where I can buy it or order online? Thank you.

    Hi,

These brands have been previously recommended on this site by KLD:
For legbags, I recommend again a latex free system if possible. Check out the Hollister Latex Free Urinary Leg Bag Kit (#HOL9349) or the Bard Dispoz-a-bag with Flip-Flo valve (#151932) although this one is not latex free. Get a 32 oz. bag.

OOPs, you can purchase them through a Hollister or Bard rep.Google these companies and you will find either internet purchasing or an agent you can contact. Let me know if you have problems.

Also, some larger medical supply stores also carry some brands.

Instead of leg bag, I use the Belly Bag. Much more discreet and comfortable, as well as easier to empty.

          SCI Nurse,

is this one similar? http://www.imed.com/shop/detail.cfm/Sku/K2699 It's cheaper is why I'm asking. Also I don't cath I just go normally and wonder where and what kind of condom to get that will work with this bag. And how long is this kind of bag good for before it needs replacing?

          Thank you

those are what I consider the cheapo ones
any lagbag needs to be cleaned (I do daily) and I keep about 5 so i can rotate each day
i use the 32oz urocare ones

I've never understood how those work. I saw my urologist and when I asked for a leg bag they said all they had was a belly bag, so I tried it. I was given condom catheters to go with it but it doesn't work for me. My condom catheter always came off because I was peeing upwards, and when urine would build up in the bag it was harder for the urine to get in the bag, having to push harder for the urine to get in, so it always came off.

I've used this leg bag for years. I get one per month from my insurance and they last well over 1 month. The one I'm wearing now is about 4 months old. I throw them away when I get the slightest hint of an odor.

I've tried one just like that before. If you let the urine build up in that bag too many times the bag will eventually fall off because the part that holds the strap to your leg breaks off. At least that's from my experience.
That's the 32oz bag. I actually use the 16oz. Much smaller.
