    "Among the team's critical findings is that after a "compression event with forces similar to those involved in traumatic brain injury," it takes about six hours for neurons to develop irreparable structural damage, according to Brown. According to Franck, that means there could be a "window for therapeutic intervention" during which further damage could be minimized."

    Had no idea that it takes 6 hours of compression for the damage to be irreversible. I wonder how this kind of protracted compression compares to real world concussion situations where your brain strikes the inside of your skull.
