    June Open House to Include News from Xi'an Conference & Clinical Trials

    Join us June 1st at the Keck Center for tours of the laboratory and a report on the international conference recently held in Xi'an, plus an update on the clinical trials. Tours and cookies from 5:00 - 6:00, followed by a presentation by Dr. Wise Young starting at 6:00.

    Near Detroit? Join Us May 30th for an Open House at RIM!

    The Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) is hosting an Open House featuring Dr. Wise Young on Wednesday, May 30th. RIM is located at 261 Mack Avenue, Detroit 48201. Presentation will be from 5:00 - 6:15 pm in the auditorium followed by refreshments and social hour from 6:15 - 8:00 in the SCI Recovery Center. Bring your questions!

    Summer Open House Speakers Announced!
    Exciting Program Thursday, July 19th

    If you've never been to a Keck Center Summer Open House, mark your calendar now! This is an event you won't want to miss! Headlining the program will be Dr. Lisa McKerracher who will give an update on Cethrin and the status of these clinical trials. Also featured will be Patrick Rummerfield who will share his story of adventures unimaginable for someone who was told he would never walk, let alone complete the Antarctica Marathon. Adding a festive touch will be the inspirational ProfessirX.

    Special exhibits on current research will open at 4:45. Vendors will showcase interesting equipment and services, and the very generous Jimmy Jack will provide delicious refreshments. Program starts at 6:00. Parking in front of building in Lot 56, click for directions.

    By Special Request: Program on Traumatic Brain Injuries

    In response to requests by several families, we will host our first ever Open House on traumatic brain injuries. On Wednesday, June 13th, families will be offered tours of the center starting at 5:00. At 6:00, Dr. Wise Young will present a program on traumatic brain injuries and current research. Following the program, he will be available to answer questions. Cookies and coffee will be available; reservations not needed. Click for directions.

    Continuing his quest to raise funds for U.S. clinical trials, Boyd Melson will enter the ring on Thursday, June 14th for a six-round match against veteran Enrique Gallegos.     Fundraiser for Injured Trooper Brian Malast and SCIProject

    Have a good time - for a good cause! Tuesday, June 26th, The Stress Factory in New Brunswick will host a night of comedy to raise funds for injured State Trooper Brian Malast and to support research at The Spinal Cord Injury Project at the Keck Center. Program will feature friends of Brian's brother Tennessee Titans Kevin Malast and comedian Julian McCullough who is well-known as the host of TBS' "Very Funny News" and for his appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

    'VIP Meet and Greet', 6:00 pm, tickets, $75, include refreshments; General Admission, 7 pm, $40, food and drinks available for purchase. Get tickets here and at the door (if available). Show starts at 7:30.

    Wine Tasting and Summer Camp Offered by Push to Walk

    Push to Walk will hold a Wine Tasting fundraiser on Thursday, June 14th, and a Summer Camp from July 15 - 21 which will feature a wide variety of free and low-cost activities. Click for details.
