    Forum Customization question

I was wondering if there was a way for me to reorder the forums catagories and possibly remove some from showing up? I mean I have a bunch of categories i search daily and some catagories I have no use for what so ever. So is there a way to customize what shows up on my end?

It'd be possible with Firefox and Greasemonkey, but nothing in vB offers that ability right now.

For the second part, about search, do you use New Posts or do you mean you use the search page and only search specific forums?
...it's worse than we thought. it turns out the people at the white house are not secret muslims, they're nerds.

I don't know the vB from the developer point of view, but I'm curios if vB supports different RSS for each forum category?

This can solve Jimm problem and mine too. I'm a big fan of RSS.

I use the new posts deal on the home page. And I'd rather not see some topics. Or wan't to restrict some. Like Polotics I don't care about seeing them. And The Relationships section, My Mother and Nephews browes this site anmd my nephews don't need to see some of this. Know what I mean?LOL I will check out GreasMonkey tough. TY

I'll implement something similar to that in the next month, give or take a week, so it's coming. (As is the Wiki.)

If you subscribe to the forums you're interested in and use your User CP as your home page, as it were, that should get you what you want.

To subscribe to a forum, pull down the Forum Tools menu on the forum page, and choose "Subscribe to This Forum"

                  actually, it does.

e.g. the feed for Announcements & Feedback:

                  /forum/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=55

Oh. Well ... I feel sheepish.

The feed's not accurate, though, so it's no good.

                            Why I oughta...

After the transfer to the new servers (and requisite testing), I'll work on it.
