What a conservative crock off shit! The Doctor takes little time before hopscotching over to President Obamma and the father of all our problems.
Please, slow_runner, stop feeding at that trough! I thought New Zealanders were very sensible.

Before the thread was moved here by admin/moderator from the care section and entered as a post, the thread title was "Certainly some food for thought?' or some such.
You know, for discussion, praise or derision :-).
I don't feed at any particular trough pfcs49, nor do I advocate for this person. However, I do agree with some of what he has to say.
Politicians? For the most part they ought to be all treated with equal disdain, whichever ideology they promulgate .
Like any other nationality, New Zealanders are capable of being as sensible or not as any other.

If the sun shows its face today, I am outside to get some fresh air, a bit of natural vitamin D, munch through what remains of the garden greens and feed off the neighbours overhanging feijoa tree. All for some wholesome nutrients and vitamins.
              Stay well.

Added. The day is crap so its inhouse for me. Searching through old family photographs, having memories rekindled of earlier times when our children were, children and my wife and I were much younger, more optimistic and more energetic..

I read few days ago, UAB hospital (Alabama) sent an elder man with the virus home. They told him UAB was not a hospice. His family cared for him at home till he died. Not sure this was done due to his overall health or due to selective ventilator use. Couldn't find any more details. Sad case.

Keep in mind that this virus is also known to attack the central nervous system, the heart, kidneys, and blood vessels. Many who have survived the respiratory failure have ended up with renal failure and need dialysis. Not all deaths are due to respiratory failure.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

Scientists think they've found what causes severe coronavirus cases

"Scientists think they have come across an indicator in COVID-19 patients that will be able to tell healthcare workers if the patient will develop a severe case of COVID-19, or a mild one. According to a study published in Critical Care, researchers say that increased plasma levels of suPAR could indicate that a patient will develop a more severe case of COVID-19."
