Research Opportunity: MA and RI Mothers with physical/mobility disabilities

Hi! I am a researcher at UMass Medical School and I wanted to share this research opportunity...

    *MA and RI*
If you are a mother with a physical or mobility disability,
    we would like your input!

The University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Health Policy and Research is conducting a study of the health care experiences of mothers with physical or mobility disabilities before, during and after pregnancy.

    Interested? Please contact Lauren Smith.
    Phone: 508-856-8346

The first group will be in:
    Worcester, MA on July 24th, 2013, 10:30-12:30
Additional focus groups are being planned in locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Please feel free to contact us even if you are not able to attend on the 24th.

    To volunteer, you must:
    • have a physical or mobility disability.
    • have given birth to a baby within the last seven years
    • live in the community in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island
    • speak English
    • be between 21-50 years of age

Your participation is completely voluntary. Nothing will happen to any services you receive if you decide not to take part. Your identity will be kept strictly confidential and your name will not be connected with anything you say in the focus group. We will not tell anyone that you were involved in the focus groups in any way. A summary of the focus group discussion will be shared in our final reports and articles.

This research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, which is part of the federal government. To thank you for your participation in the study, we will pay you $50.00 at the end of the focus group. Refreshments will be provided.
