Listening to the recently acquired discography of Eric Clapton. He's had more "periods? than Picasso. I saw him live a lot before he started to sing - back when he borrowed heavily from B. B. King's guitar work. It was quite a surprise to learn that he was such an expressive singer.Foolish

My new favourite band is Them Crooked Vultures. I saw them on SNL Saturday and was like 'Hey, that's the guy from Queens of the Stone Age on guitar. Wait a sec... that's Dave Grohl on the drums! Hmm, who's that old guy on bass? Is that... OMG! It's John Paul effing Jones!'
