What are you listening to right now?

I've got Can Anyone Who Has Heard This Music Really Be A Bad Person? by Kaki King playing right now on my Last.fm radio station.
    I adore this song.

      Well this went well! *snorts*

Hmm, I actually don't know that Coldplay song (although I've possibly heard it), so I think a trip to YouTube is called for.

This may sound boring and stodgy because... it is .... but I am listening to JS Bach's Orchestral Suites - baroque music... try it !

The sound of an opening cath kit......may also sound boring.

Bad Timing by Blue Rodeo (although it will be over by the time I make this post)

I am in a melancoly mood today and so made an iPod playlist for the downer songs in my collection and set the songs to shuffle. Listening to them is making me feel better.

                Stories and Alibis

I love this album and listened to it several times a day for weeks back in the summer of '04, saw them live on Halloween '04 with Taking Back Sunday and a then little-known band Fall Out Boy opening. Great show! Sadly, only FOB is still playing/recording.

And I'm not pining ... I just happen to like the song!

And a lot of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald lately.

Listening to the recently acquired discography of Eric Clapton. He's had more "periods? than Picasso. I saw him live a lot before he started to sing - back when he borrowed heavily from B. B. King's guitar work. It was quite a surprise to learn that he was such an expressive singer.

My new favourite band is Them Crooked Vultures. I saw them on SNL Saturday and was like 'Hey, that's the guy from Queens of the Stone Age on guitar. Wait a sec... that's Dave Grohl on the drums! Hmm, who's that old guy on bass? Is that... OMG! It's John Paul effing Jones!'

A history of rock and roll awesomeness in one band!

And in trying to keep up with what the kids are listening to these days, I've been listening to MGMT.
