  • Freedom Ryder CB-1 for sale $1400.00

Selling a CB-1 I think they only made these handcycles for a couple of years for 2002 and 2003 and it was replaced by the LC-1. This leans back more than the LC-1 and handles the curvy corners very well, amazing camber on the rear wheels and it's a lean steer. The bike is located in Rhode Island and local pickup is wanted as to take apart this bike to ship would be a lot of work. It can be shipped and packed but it will be at the buyers cost. The tires are in great shape and are the Conti GP's. It has 26 inch wheels and 27 speeds. Put on new gears and a chain on the bike not long ago, so it rides nice and needs no work. Here's a picture of it. Comes with the backpack bag on the back and a wired speed computer and custom made plexi chain guard and two water bottle cages.

Forgot to mention this was upgraded to a XTR Titanium crank too which will last more than likely a lifetime, very tough crank, top of the line.

Hey Curt, Great looking bike. I've sent many bikes with just the wheels taken off. They wrapped it and sent it. No problem at all with shipping a bike. Craig Blanchette model Freedom Ryders were one of my favorites handcycles/ He's a really good guy to boot.

Thanks Patrick, I'm tempted to buy it myself, but the paths here in Fl are very flat so the handling in the Curvy's would not do me much good. Up North though it's another story, this bike is a blast coming down mountain passes, it sticks to the road like glue and is stable as fast as you can go. Ya, Craig is a great guy, it's cool he had a handcycle with the initials named after him, he did really well on the CB1. They did not make many of these and it is worth every penny of the asking price, I was trying to convince my friend to ask 2 grand for the handcycle. You can tell I'm a diehard Freedom Ryder fan, they have come up with some really cool bikes over the years.

Bump. I have this bike in R.I, can't sell for a couple of weeks but just to give anybody a heads up if there is any interest. Shipping will be extra.

Patrick, I was not sure if the box would be too long for ups without removing the fork and it would then have to road freighted which is very expensive.

Do you know how high the seat is from the ground?

It's only around a foot off the ground. This handcycle is a leansteer and more well suited towards somebody with good balance as you do need to balance to keep from going over, it takes some time to get use to like riding a regular bicycle.

I am interested in buying this hand cycle. This is my fist time on this (or any Forum), so can we discuss details further on the phone?
