R. Nandakumar completed his studies in Madras and did his graduation in Maths. He became a successful entrepreneur right from his college days. As he entered business at the age of 18 , while he was in College itself. Though he had been associated with the alternative system of Medicine from his young age, he had been concentrating on various business activities before he started the Drug manufacturing unit. He had been in Hotel line, Printing solutions , various distribution lines from stationery products to construction products, Heavy metal industrial fabrications , Granite quarrying, Processing of the Granites stones, Importing of various machines and consumer goods , Processing of Cubic Zircon, ( Synthetic stones) , Semi-Precious stones, Trading, Import and Export of these stones and herbal farming .

Siddha system of science from olden days are passed from generation to generation by elders to their kith and kin. The various rare formulations , Palm leaf manuscripts , some unique process techniques are passed down by elders as a day to day routine while making medicines for the sick. On the process even the knowledge on identifying some unique herbs are taught. Thus the practical knowledge is taught over a period of 2 to 3 generations from a very young age. Now a days though the same is tabulated and full fledge graduation courses have been set up by many universities, but some unique formulations and process technology is never available / printed in book form. But on the other hand the same exists and preserved by few who have been practicing for years and is been passed from one generation to other.

R. Nandakumar hails from TamilNadu - South India. He has been very lucky to have his fore fathers to have great amount of knowledge and practicing in Siddha system of science. Over a period of years the special techniques and knowledge has been passed to him form his elders but had never took it as a study. Over a period of time the various acquaintances with Siddha practitioners , researchers , due to the interest in Herbal Farming and due to the knowledge gained over the years from the elders bought him close to understanding the various secrets and properties of Herbal medicines in Siddha system. The genuine interest impressed many old aged practitioners to share their knowledge , literatures and process techniques with explanations, over a period of 8 years . Thus he gained a considerable knowledge in the working pattern of certain herbs and minerals . At a point the amazing facts and curative properties of Siddha system moved Nandakumar, who took it as a passion in reviving the greatness of Siddha System. His quest and vision to revive the old system , to decode the process technology of some rare formulations and work on the defined parameters on already available records motivated him to commence a full fledged research set up to study on some rare herbs and formulation in the year 1990. The continuous work and investment on research yielded great results . While the team headed by R. Nandakumar achieved to formulate some unique and most powerful formulation. He directly supervised and worked under many Practitioners of Siddha system. The formulation was put to various study and studied for more than three years with regard to the safety and efficacy under Siddha system.

At a point the whole operation had become very big with sizeable investments . It became imperative to form a full fledged organization, which would work on professionally and pursue the work done all these years by Nandakumar. It was in 1993 Care & Cure Herbs Limited was formed. Care & Cure Herbs with a paradigm shift in its strategy brings in the tested and researched rare formulations into medicinal form .
